Monthly Coaching
Random practice and one-off swing tips don't lower scores.
Targeted practice does. The specific technical changes your swing needs, the short game shots you're actually losing strokes to, and better decisions on the course. That's what this coaching is built around.
Coaching is delivered through the Skillest app, included at no extra cost.
Why most online lessons don't stick
-
They only look at your swing
They don't take into account your short game, your putting, or how your body is actually able to move. Those are three of the biggest places strokes go missing, and a swing video sees none of them.
-
They ignore where your body is limited
If you physically can't rotate into a position, no amount of technical instruction will make it happen. You'll try, fail, and assume you're the problem. A mobility screen tells us what we're working with before we build a plan on top of it.
-
They stop after the feedback
You get a video, a few drills, and then you're on your own. Nobody checks whether you're doing the drills right. Practicing a drill wrong for three weeks is worse than not practicing it at all.
That's why the twice-weekly check-ins matter. Progress compounds when someone is watching the work every few days, in a way it never does with a one-off lesson booked whenever your game feels off.
What you actually get
Structured around how coaching really works: a heavy first month to build the plan, then consistent weekly work, then a proper look at what's changed.
Your first month
- A full game assessment. Putting, chipping, irons, and driver, each broken down individually.
- A mobility screen. Tests you run at home, with me checking anything you're unsure about.
- Scorecard analysis. Where your strokes are going, from your recent rounds rather than a guess.
- A practice plan built around you. Not just what your game needs, but what you actually have available to practice with. Range every day, a net in the backyard, or nothing but foam balls and an impact bag at home. Tell me what you've got and the plan gets built around it.
- Drill videos built for you. Not a generic library, the specific drills your game needs.
- A video walking you through the why. Me on the mat explaining what's happening, why it matters, and how it lowers your score.
Every week
- Two drill reviews. You send video of the work, I check whether you're doing it right and correct it if not.
- Adjustments as you go. If a drill isn't landing, we change it rather than waiting a month.
- Direct messaging. Questions between uploads, answered in the app.
Every month
- Side by side comparison. Where you started against where you are now, so progress is visible rather than felt.
- Mobility retest. Checking whether the physical restrictions have actually shifted.
- Handicap check and a new plan. Next month's priorities, built off what changed and what didn't.
How it works
-
You sign up and get set up
You'll get a code for the Skillest app straight away, along with short videos covering exactly how to film each shot and how to run your mobility tests at home.
-
You send your game in
Videos of each area, your mobility results, recent scorecards, your handicap, and what you think your biggest misses are. All of it filmed on your phone.
-
I build your plan
Within five business days you get the full assessment, your practice plan, your drill videos, and a video explaining the reasoning behind all of it.
-
We work it, week by week
You upload drill videos twice a week and I review every one. At month end we retest everything and build the next month from what actually moved.
Who this is for
This is built for
- Double-digit handicaps who want to get into single digits.
- Golfers who are motivated to practice, ideally twice a week. More is perfectly fine.
- People who want a plan to follow rather than another tip to try.
This isn't for
- Anyone who just wants a one-time swing review.
- Golfers who don't want to practice on a weekly basis.
- Players already sitting at a low single-digit handicap.

Grant has a rare ability to simplify golf so well that toddlers could understand it. I sent him two swing videos and he sent feedback the same day. Within a few minutes he pointed out the root cause of what I was doing wrong and explained it in a way that just clicked. A lot of golf instructors tend to get overly technical and struggle to make the information relatable or easy to apply. Grant does the opposite.
Dustin Roth -

Questions
How much time does this take?
Around an hour of practice a week is usually enough. Two 30-minute sessions is a great minimum, and more is always better. Filming for your uploads takes a few minutes on top of that.
How fast do you respond?
Your first full assessment comes back within five business days of everything being uploaded. Ongoing drill reviews come back within 48 hours outside of weekends, though I'm in the app daily so it's usually closer to 24.
What equipment do I need?
Your phone and somewhere to prop it up. Beyond that, whatever you already have. The practice plan is built around your setup, whether that's full range access or foam balls in the garage.
What is Skillest?
The app all the coaching runs through. You upload video, I mark it up and send back analysis, drills, and voiceover. It's included in your subscription at no extra cost, and you'll get a code that takes it to $0 as soon as you sign up.
I don't have an official handicap. Does that matter?
No. As long as you have some consistent scores or scorecards we can use to track progress, that's all we need.
Why is there a three month minimum?
Because this isn't built for people looking for a quick fix. It's built for golfers committed to working on their game and improving steadily over time.
The work is also heavily front-loaded on my end. The first month is the full assessment, the mobility screen, the practice plan, and a drill library built specifically for you. If people join for a month and leave, that model doesn't hold up and the price has to go up for everyone. The three month minimum is what keeps it where it is.
Do I have to work on my whole game?
No. If you only want to work on the full swing, send the irons and driver and we'll focus there. I'd recommend the full picture the first time around, because the shots often leak somewhere you're not expecting.
Start this month.
You'll get your Skillest access and your filming instructions immediately, and your full assessment back within five business days of sending everything in.
